Italy Calling for Remote Workers: The Digital Nomad Visa 2024. Italy’s Digital Nomad Visa program, launched in April 2024, allows remote workers and freelancers to legally live and work in Italy without a job offer from an Italian employer, allowing them to earn money from anywhere independently. The Italian Digital Nomad Visa is open to non-Europeans and it doesn’t require a Job offer from an Italian employer.
An applicant must have proof of being a freelancer or an employment contract with the company they work remotely for in order to be eligible for the nomad visa. Furthermore, beginning of May 9, 2024, the applicant’s monthly income must be approximately €2,700, or €32,400 yearly. The ability to live and work in Italy and travel throughout Europe while carrying a valid Italian digital nomad visa, which you can potentially extend for an additional year, is one of its advantages.
The Italy Digital Nomad Visa Requirements:
- Minimum income Requirements: Minimum monthly income of €2,700 or €32,400 annually.
- Proof of at least six months’ worth of remote work before the application.
- The Italy Digital Nomad Visa is only available to non-Europeans.
- Skilled professionals having either:
- Contract of employment for remote work with an organisation outside of Italy.
- Freelance deals involving clients from outside of Italy.
- Evidence of remote work and freelancer.

- Normally, the residency permit is granted for a year, but it may be granted for two, and it may be renewed.
