Benefits for the Government of Italy Scholarships:
- However, this will vary from university to university and will not apply to students who do not pay tuition or enrollment fees.

Eligible Criteria:
- A candidate pursuing a PhD. It is crucial for Italy to fulfil the academic requirements and degree entry standards set out by their chosen Italian university.
- Applicants who have earned a bachelor’s degree in their home country are eligible to apply for scholarships for the master’s programme.
- If you wish to apply for a scholarship to enrol in one of the Italian AFAM courses, you must fulfil the prerequisites for entrance and the educational standards set forth by the applicable university or institution.
- To apply for an Italian language and culture course, an AFAM programme, or a master’s degree, a candidate must be at least 28 years old.
- At the time of application, candidates for the PhD programme cannot be older than 30 years old.
- Students must be under 40 years old in order to participate in research projects under the supervision of an academic supervisor.
- Applicants who wish to enroll in courses taught in English must demonstrate English language proficiency by providing a language proficiency certificate.
- Applicants wishing to enroll in an Italian-taught course must submit a certificate of proficiency in the Italian language.
